A license can be moved, or transferred, to another location, either another computer or an iLok dongle, using the ilok License Manager. If you do not already have it, you can get it here.

But here are some quick basics…
There are three different ways you can transfer licenses, and every process is handled using the iLok “License Manager” application.
First, you’ll be asked to confirm your account information, as well as the destination User ID.
Do not rush this process, as transfers are irreversible.
A $US25 fee per license or bundle (locked group) applies when transferring licenses to another iLok.com account, with a maximum charge of $US50 per license transfer order.
- Option 1: Find the license you wish to transfer and select it by clicking on it. Next, click on the transfer icon in the top right corner of the iLok License Manager window.
- Option 2: Find the license you wish to transfer and select it by clicking on it, then click on “show details”. You can then click on “Transfer” to start the process.
- Option 3: Right-click the license you wish to transfer and select “Transfer License…”
Also, a license may not be transferred within 90 days of being deposited into an account, and that account must not be less than 90 days old.
